Flaming Whit Oak, dancing

Dance me to the end
Of love, he sings
And I'm folding into this song
Knowing the song we
Could've sung (and oh! I think we could have
Sung!)
Requires more dancing and fewer
Tears
Less fire.

After all, you
Warned me. And the end
Of love is never easy.
Clean. Quick.

So I sit shrouded in burgundy outside
And in. It warms my belly
And my body.
You

Did that, too. And I don't think
You know.

Last night I dreamt
Of you. I was leaving
To the tune of a flaming old guitar
There was beauty
So much
Beauty as you filled out a list
Of all the food you wanted me
To leave with

You did didn't you?
Want to dance me to the end?

I just wanted to say
Thank you.
