returning
an arm to hold me
a hand upon my lower back-
     a straightening
fingers stroking soft on my cheek
a shoulder pillow for my head
quiet
someone else to do the laundry
breakfast in bed
   lunch in bed
      dinner
in bed
entwined in
bed
naked and warm limbs
that tie
     your soul
to mine.
